Hello Reader,
I have spent countless hours trying to pick the best time management techniques and tools.
The time we spend picking the best tool, best decision, and best idea can be better utilized in taking action. End of the day, actions are what matters. Tools are one of the things that help in your journey, but taking action is the most crucial thing.
So, over the past 2 months, I’ve been working hard to create a simple time management guide to share practical guidance that you will feel comfortable adopting.
That’s why I focused on foundational items such as 10 minutes of daily planning, picking the top 3 things and completing them by the end of the day. You will double your productivity & focus just by following this one technique.
Furthermore, building morning & evening routines can give structure to your day.
A good morning routine can help you maximize your first 2-3 hours and set the tone for a productive day. Similarly, an evening routine is tremendous to wind up your day. Whether a morning person or a night owl, you can maximize your morning or time by spending 30 to 60 minutes on your most important initiatives. It could be learning a new language, practicing a soft skill, preparing for certification, or reading a book.
I am a morning person and wake up at 4:30 am daily.
My morning routine includes drinking two glasses of water, light stretching or walking, tea, and two hours of writing from 5 am to 7 am. Then helping my family with morning tasks, and by 8:30 am, I am ready for my work day. I plan my day the night before.
Your focus is the most crucial asset you have. Pomodoro is the best technique to create instant focus. Set a timer for 25 minutes to work on your most important tasks.
You will lose your most energetic hours if you let distractions get in your way.
Every interruption takes time and effort to recover from, which can add up quickly throughout the day. Disable your phone & laptop notifications during your Pomodoro session. For example, I don’t touch my phone until 7 am.
Productivity is not about maximizing your work, but it is about working effectively so that you save time for self-care and other activities. Breaks such as walking outside, and watering your plants, can help you relax and recharge for extended periods.
A break allows you to return to work with fresh energy and a clearer mind.
You will get daily, weekly, and quarterly planning templates that you can immediately put into practice.
Effective time management can empower you to make the most of your day, paving the way for personal and professional growth.
You will be able to unlock an additional hour daily.
One hour a day can change things for you. Use that extra hour to learn a new programming language, prepare for a certification, build a side hustle or work on a hobby that provides you fulfillment.
Thank you so much, Dr. Howard, Avie, Arturo, Madhu, Clara, CK, Aaron, Adam, Lisa, Julio, Mike, Zach, and Cassie, for your time & feedback. Your input helped me to make this guide simple to follow.
I reduced the guide from 300 pages to 100 pages after following feedback from Dr. Howard 😀
Arturo’s feedback gave me the strength that I am solving the right problem. He told me that this guide perfectly highlighted his time management challenges.
My friend, CK, recently released her free ultimate guide for writers. She said,
I am going through the final touches and building a marketing campaign. I genuinely believe this guide will help you set the foundation for your time management and unlock one extra hour daily for your personal & professional growth.
When it launches, I will need your help in spreading the word by sharing it with your friends & colleagues.
I am excited about what it can do for you and many others.
Your Friend,
Vinod

Hello Reader, Last week, I came off an intense stretch of focused work. I call it extreme momentum. It’s the kind of mode where I move fast, ship hard, and almost forget to breathe. But when it ends? I crash. Not energy-wise — system-wise. Because during those bursts, I stop updating my tools. No OmniFocus. No Notion. Just building. And when I finally slow down, I’m staring at a mess: Outdated tasks Random notes & ideas Disconnected logs of what I did A system that no longer reflects my...
Hey Reader, This past week was about keeping momentum—and making a few resets. I wiped my entire OmniFocus setup—every task, every folder, every project. Gone. Next, I added what matters. Now, I run on a new trio that’s clicking perfectly: OmniFocus for tasks Notion for notes + reflections ChatGPT as my productivity coach The real unlock? A quick check-in with myself every 3–4 hours. Just enough to reset my focus without guilt and get back on track. Debugging hell, AI-style On my coding, I...
