I didn’t try to fix myself. I rebuilt my system instead.

Hello Reader,

Last week, I came off an intense stretch of focused work.

I call it extreme momentum.

It’s the kind of mode where I move fast, ship hard, and almost forget to breathe.

But when it ends?

I crash.

Not energy-wise — system-wise.

Because during those bursts, I stop updating my tools.

No OmniFocus. No Notion. Just building.

And when I finally slow down, I’m staring at a mess:

  • Outdated tasks
  • Random notes & ideas
  • Disconnected logs of what I did
  • A system that no longer reflects my reality

That’s when I realized the real problem:

I wasn’t building a system that matches how I actually work.
I was building a system for how I "wish" I worked.

So I started from scratch.

I opened up a chat with ChatGPT and said:

“Act as my productivity coach. Help me rebuild my system for how I really work, not how I’m supposed to.”
I also shared all my challenges with previous system.

Over the next 10 days, we rebuilt everything:

  • I cleared out my entire OmniFocus, every folder, every tag
  • I learned how to keep tasks and ideas separate, OmniFocus for action, Notion for everything else
  • I created a lean, flexible Daily Log system in Notion
  • I used voice notes to track what I did when I couldn’t type

But most importantly…

I didn’t try to fix myself.
I designed a system that works with my rhythm, not against it.

Why It’s Working Now

Because it’s real.

It accepts the fact that I have bursts of momentum cycles.

That I drift.

That sometimes I don’t want to “plan” and just want to keep taking actions and move forward.

This system doesn’t try to control me.

It catches and support me when I land.

And that’s what I need.

If You’ve Felt This Too…

If you’ve ever felt like your task system was broken...

Or too rigid...

Or too full of “someday maybe” tasks which you’ll never touch…

Then trust me, I’ve been there.

You’re not lazy.

You don’t need to fix yourself.

Maybe you just need a system that fits you.

Want me to share the templates, checklists, or reflections that helped me get here?

Just reply or DM me. I’ll share everything I’ve got.

You deserve a system that works for you not one you have to work around.

PS: The view of my hotel pool is incredible.

It shows that limits are often self-imposed.

It’s hard to believe this massive pool is built on the 6th floor.

It pushes me to dream bigger, and it might do the same for you.

This pool is a testament to what’s possible when we think outside the box.

It shows that limits are often self-imposed.

Let this view inspire you to reach for more.

Dream bigger. Live larger.
