Validate Your SaaS Idea in Just One Weekend

Hello Reader,

Have you ever spent weeks or months building something, only to find out no one wanted it? I’ve been there—and trust me, it’s a painful (but common) experience.

That’s why validation is the single most important step in building a Micro SaaS startup. The good news? It doesn’t have to take endless time or effort.

In my latest video, I’ll show you how to validate your SaaS idea in just one weekend.

🎥 Watch Now: How to Validate Your SaaS Idea in One Weekend

What You’ll Learn in This Video

The 5 key steps to validate your idea quickly and effectively:

  1. Start with the problem—not the product.
  2. Identify your potential users.
  3. Engage with real people and ask the right questions.
  4. Build a simple landing page that speaks their language.
  5. Test your idea with real users through communities and small ads.

Why Validation Matters

Building before validating is like sailing without a map—you might get somewhere, but the odds aren’t in your favor. By validating your idea first, you’ll:

  • Save months of wasted effort and money.
  • Build something your audience truly needs.
  • Gain confidence that your idea has real potential.

Here’s How to Get Started This Weekend

1. Start with the problem: Write a one-sentence problem statement.

“[Target audience] struggles with [problem], and this impacts them by [consequence].”

Example:

“Small business owners struggle to collect feedback from multiple platforms, making it hard to improve their customer experience.”

2. Talk to 5–10 People:
Reach out to your network, Slack groups, or Reddit communities and ask about their pain points. Use open-ended questions like:

  • What’s your biggest challenge with [specific problem]?
  • How are you solving it now? What do you like/dislike about the current solution?

3. Build a Simple Landing Page:
Use tools like Carrd or Webflow to create a one-page site with:

  • A headline that speaks directly to your audience’s pain points.
  • A clear problem and solution statement.
  • A call-to-action like “Join the Waitlist.”

4. Test Your Idea:
Share your landing page in relevant communities or run small ads ($5–$10/day). Even a handful of signups can validate demand.

Hello Reader, Last week, I came off an intense stretch of focused work. I call it extreme momentum. It’s the kind of mode where I move fast, ship hard, and almost forget to breathe. But when it ends? I crash. Not energy-wise — system-wise. Because during those bursts, I stop updating my tools. No OmniFocus. No Notion. Just building. And when I finally slow down, I’m staring at a mess: Outdated tasks Random notes & ideas Disconnected logs of what I did A system that no longer reflects my...

Hey Reader, This past week was about keeping momentum—and making a few resets. I wiped my entire OmniFocus setup—every task, every folder, every project. Gone. Next, I added what matters. Now, I run on a new trio that’s clicking perfectly: OmniFocus for tasks Notion for notes + reflections ChatGPT as my productivity coach The real unlock? A quick check-in with myself every 3–4 hours. Just enough to reset my focus without guilt and get back on track. Debugging hell, AI-style On my coding, I...

Hey Reader, Something big happened yesterday, and I wanted to share it with you. I pitched Discourage.me at Quick Pitch Night with Orlando Innovation League and StarterStudio. And guess what?It won 1st place for best startup idea in the fun category. 🎉 Pitching at Quick Pitch Night The real story? I was nervous. Like, really nervous. I pitched in front of a room full of people, and my heart was still racing for five minutes after I finished. I kept thinking…“I missed so many points.”“I should...
