Stop watching self-improvement videos for hours.

Hello Reader,

Do you enjoy watching self-improvement videos for hours?

Self-help videos, books, and articles are a slow drug killing your most precious power. You watch them because you believe you have a problem and those YouTube productivity gurus will fix it.

This approach will not work because you are doing this all wrong.

Your issue is that you think you need to get better. And that's why you want to change yourself. You want to become similar to one of those YouTube productivity gurus.

But you will fail to do so.

Because

1/Those productivity gurus are not precisely what they show themself in videos.

No one can be that perfect.

They also have their behavior traits.

2/Your aspirations, personality, behavior, and values are different.

You are unique.

It would be best if you accepted yourself as is.

Why will that work?

When you understand who you are and accept yourself, you can embrace your unique special powers.

There is nothing wrong with you.

Trust me.

Make your self-improvement a byproduct of your purposeful actions.

What does that mean?

Purposeful actions are steps, activities, and tasks you take to accomplish a meaningful goal.

For example,

1/Be productive to finish work during office hours to spend time with your family.

You want to be effective so you can walk with your wife every evening and play board games with your kids. This intentionality will encourage you to learn, apply and practice productivity tips.

2/Be productive to have time to prepare for Azure programming certification.

Preparing for certification requires a lot of work. You need to go in-depth and learn all aspects to answer all sorts of questions. It is only possible to find time to study if you can quickly finish your office work and spend the rest of the evening studying.

Did you see the difference?

Now you have a reason to improve yourself.

Without a purpose, self-improvement will mean nothing.

So, stop taking self-help drugs.

Start taking action.

Hello Reader, Our beta launch for Sucana failed. And the feedback was brutal. Beta users said, the application is, Slow Clunky Cumbersome Now imagine this: weeks of late nights, coding until 4 AM, finally hitting “launch”… and the first thing you hear from users is exactly that. It stings. Then my cofounders Victor & Virgil called me and said, “Let’s flip it all around.” And I’m sitting here thinking, I pulled late nights. Wrote endless code. You can’t just flip it upside down. You see,...

Hello Reader, Quarter 4 is here. For most of my career, I set yearly goals… and then forgot them by February. Everything felt too big, too far away, and too overwhelming. That changed in 2022 when I discovered quarterly planning. Here’s why it works: Big vision → 5-year direction Focus → one or two projects per quarter Execution → daily actions, weekly reviews, and a scorecard It’s a system that has helped me clarify my direction, build my startup part-time, stay consistent with content, and...
